That Thing

That thing that you do is not really what you are getting paid for. That thing that you buy has a deep underlying utility that you are not aware off. There is a hidden world around everything that truly makes the world rotate. If you don’t understand “that thing” which is the real force of creation, then your wheels are spinning.

Ok let me exemplify what i mean. When you create a product, the product is the end result, “That thing” would be the underlying utility that is not so obvious to the users and you as the product creator have the sole responsibility of communicating efficiently and effectively what “that thing is! Let’s say you sell cookies, most bakery’s would market the cookies and the taste, some may market the ingredients to the conscious but the enlightened product developer knows that the real reason why someone would buy the cookie despite being consciously aware of the repercussions, is the overall effect of how it will make them feel upon consumption of the cookie. The experience is “that thing” Electrifying,delicious, a hint of sour with a delightful after taste maybe even shocking or surprising to the taste buds and soon you loose a grip of your problems as you sink your teeth in to the cookie that has less than four calories.

In the fitness space, the idea is not to work out. Consumers are not looking to spend more hours in the gym. Their main concern is to look good. To feel good. To be accepted and acceptable first, to themselves and 2nd to the rest of society. To be noticed without having to do acts that self consciously seek attention. That thing is what many gyms lack. If a gym would have a class that would focus on inner beauty appreciation and acceptance, prior to workouts, i have a feeling it would barely lack in subscribers. Most gyms will get your enrollment fee and let you loose on the equipment unless you need a personal trainer who in that case will cost you more.

That thing is the force behind creation. It is the reason behind what makes people take action. It is not forthcoming and obvious and may need some deep observation but when you get it, it will be your leverage point!

That thing.
