How Core Communication Changes Lives For The Better!

Posted on: September 29, 2012

Subconscious communication is where emotions exist. The conscious communication is where logic exits. Unfortunately most meaningful communication exists on a sub conscious level. It is where our fears exist. It is also where our greatest desires lay. Core communication addresses the subconscious whereas surface communication addresses the conscious.

Ok. Lee, thats a bunch of “hellabaloo” for a Saturday give me a concrete (logical)example and then give me an emotional(sub conscious) example!

A man walks in to the store and the salesman jumps over his desk to assist him. The man, states that he is looking for a car!(logical, surface communication) The salesman, very well trained by yours truly asks some probing questions….’

  1. What type of car are you looking for…still logical communication
  2. What are you looking for in a car? still logical but starts to peel the core emotional outer layer!

The man states that he is looking for a car that is a 12 speed(v12) with lots of power at least over 300Kilowatts or at least over 400 horses, with excellent torque roughly 500 Nanometers and acceleration speed of  zero to 60mph in at least 5 seconds

The salesman who knows his product in and out knows that the man is looking for a machine, not a toy judging from the specs! The man is also very precise and knows what he wants! He is probably a person of status or looking for it through the machine he desires to be  driving! Finally, the man definitely has some extreme relationships either enemies he wants to impress or friends who he needs their admiration or approval or he is just an extremely hardworking man going through mid-life crisis!

So rather than just straight out on a limb offer him the car that he wants, he decides to isolate the emotion! He asks more probing questions! So Mr. X, besides the above specs, is there anything else that you absolutely need on this vehicle and wouldn’t imagine driving it without? Mr X, upon seeing the “delayed sale effect” of the salesman opens up and the magic starts happening! Do these cars come with a baby seat and could i specifically get a red car?

Hmmm….They usually don’t come with a car seat but thats a minor detail and as far as red, absolutely now Mr X, is there any particular reason why you would need a baby seat and why the car has to come in red? Yes i have a son and i’ll be picking him up from his mum every three weeks! I have always loved red as a color! The salesman trained by yours asks how old his son is….and knows that red is an extremely flashy color that demands recognition and attention……he has now isolated the underlying emotion and the core communication starts!

They now stop talking about the car and are now talking about fatherhood, women and the difficulty of raising kids as a single father working countless hours! The guard is on the ground and they are connecting and by the way the salesman hasn’t even offered any car yet!

Then, the salesman having completely connected with Mr X, gives him a range of selections constantly reiterating the “sole” desire of Mr X. Hard working man who is logging in many hours, has a son by one woman, dating another who is killing him mentally and is looking for excitement!  Finally, my main man informs Mr X that the car will give him the excitement and happiness he is looking for but with one disclaimer, it may not last for very long. At the risk of loosing a sale. he proceeds to inform Mr X that the greatest and happiest times of his life are when he rides his bicycle to and from work! To…as he feels it’s another day to make a difference and from as he is excited about the difference he has made!

They part ways with Mr X ….76 grand lighter, a BMW 760LI  and finally a contact that keeps bringing referrals over and over and over again! Simply by connecting on the core!

Try it! It never fails!
