DMAIC In A Nutshell.

  1. Define
  2. Measure
  3. Analyze
  4. Implement
  5. Control

The five steps to building systems.

Define the problem. The more specific you are the better.

Measure. Every action besides having an opposite and equal reaction, has a metric that we can measure to inform us if the action took place or didn’t. If the action was successful or not. Collect the data.

Analyze. Data leads to information through analysis. To extract juice out of an orange one must  squeeze the orange. Likewise to extract information out of data, one must analyze the data.

Implement. What is information worth without implementation? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

Control. Every system acts “crazy” every once in a while. The secret is to have it closely monitored not for controls sake, but for better optimization and comprehension sake!
