Why Linkedin Is a Must Have Social Platform…

Posted on: July 22, 2010

Here is the deal

Facebook– Half a billion people on there which is awesome ! The only problem is that people on there may conduct business but in a very subtle way! You could create a page and even share some serious information but people turn off their serious side when they come to facebook! The number one reason people come there anyway is to see what everyone else is doing!

Linkedin on the other hand is more serious! Just like the name suggests, it is a platform for building more specialized networks! It is a space for finding people that are more centered to your goals! Very niche targeted groups are on there too and the most beautiful thing about linkedin is the ability to ask questions to some very very smart people who will volunteer answers that you get to choose from! How cool is that! So if you’re looking for a better job or looking to build a network of business clients start with linkedin ! If you’re fresh from college and can’t find a job the first thing you can do is build a network on linkedin! 80% of your prospective employers will google you! So take control of what they view of you by creating content and associations with reputable people on linkedin! Remember you are who you associate with!

Now if your doing a social media campaign i would suggest that you test as many platforms as possible and find out which one is a winner! I have been testing growing a network on linkedin from about a month ago….and so far i am not complaining at all!

Please join my network if you haven’t already by now and lets share some cool business ideas!

Great article, I love linkedIn. Whether you’re trying to get connected with the local business community or just updating your resume, LinkedIn is a great online business resource.
